We are finding more and more especially in gimmicks of people table talking. Telling their p or the table the rules...or flat out reminding them of what to do after the game has begun.
Table talk in most euchre rules is defined as....Saying something that reveals information about your hand or indicates what or how your partner should play. No matter how outright or vieled it is.( Google it if you disagree..lol) The penalty in this league for table talk is pentaly points. If it is a gimmick...whatever penalty points for that game is insued for table talk. Either 2pts 4pts game...or in case of defend alone games 4pt 4pt game. If table talk is recognized in reg std it is penalty points of 2pt 4pt game. If there is a question of table talk or argument, it is up to the TD to come to the table and decide if it was table talk. There are many forms of table talk...and we do not nit pick on certain things, but it it was a game changing offense, table talk penalties will be issued.
Yes we are here to have some fun. But as I said in my prior post, these are tournaments, and league play. And even if it wasnt tournaments, no one would get away with table talk in rated. You would get timed out. And actually, if you were playing real cards with friends or family, you would not get away with table talk. If you table talked when my father in law was playing, you were in trouble!!! lol

**It is NOT ACCEPTABLE to say the rules, or "remind" your p or the table after game play begins just to avoid your p or anyone at the table from making an error.
No one wants to get points on an error, or win the game on an error. No one wants someone to error. Or most dont..lol It is the players responsiblity to know what they are jumping and pay attention to the rules, and if they do not understand them just ask. It is not acceptable to tell or remind your p or any other player the rules during game play. That is table talk, and pentaly points will be issued for it.
These are the rules of our league. You may not agree with them but please abide by them. We try to make it a fun enviroment for all, but still keep the general rules of euchre intact. Thanks all Lil
i think there are a few more things said that can indicate to anyone at the table. not just their partner. its when someone says gt or wtg partner when the other team bid. its like no surprise there of will i make this bid or not. also saying good call partner before you have your 3 tricks. its just saying i have trump. yes all in fun, but this is a league and other leagues would not tolerate it for a min. so be thankful you're in wickeds. lol
Guess I am guilty for this but I remind everyone, not just my partner. I hate a game being paused because someone messed up. Maybe instaed of 3 strikes you get 1. You mess up, you lose!
